WINCHESTER, Ky. (AP) — There a move afoot to open a distillery in eastern Kentucky and put some "Appalachian flavors" into bourbon and white whiskey.

Brian Endicott told The Winchester Sun that his vision includes connecting Clark County to the Kentucky Bourbon Craft Trail and using natural ingredients to create the product. He said the distillery would be one of two that are east of Lexington.

In an effort to see his vision succeed, Endicott has launched an online fundraising campaign at kickstarted.com. He says he is trying to raise $45,000 to help him open Lulbegrud Creek Distillery.

In addition to infusing some different flavors to the product, Endicott says his focus will be making it with ingredients that are natural and organic.
