The afternoon heat cooled down just in time for Bowling Green city officials to participate in one of their summer strolls.
Monday night's stroll took place in the Cross Ridge area of town just off Campbell Lane.
The walk which includes the mayor, city commissioners and other city employees is a chance for residents to talk with those who take care of their city.
"We get to meet members of the neighborhood. They can talk about different issues. There's a lot of compliments and a few comments where we might need to improve some things," said Bowling Green City Commissioner Bill Waltrip.
On Monday, those on the walk got some ice cream from Chaney's Dairy Barn as well.
The next summer stroll will be on July 29th around Glen Lily on the west side of town.
