Officials say most of a small central Kentucky city is without power after a winter storm rolled through, downing lines that supplied the area.
Pendleton County officials say that a major feeder line from Kentucky Utilities supplying the city's power had a broken pole. KU reported having multiple outages in that area and scattered outages elsewhere.
The statement from Pendleton officials said the outage affects most of the city of Falmouth and parts of the county. It says power is expected to be restored later in the day. In the meantime, a warming shelter was opened at Pendleton County High School.
