The National Weather service has confirmed an EF-2 tornado with peak winds of 120 MPH struck the small community of Penrod in Muhlenberg County early Wednesday morning.
NWS says the tornado cut a 4.5 mile path through the community destroying two mobile homes and damaging several others.
WBKO was on the scene yesterday and spoke with several residents who believed they heard a tornado.
