A water main break in the Covington Grove neighborhood inconvenienced some this morning.
The break caused minor flooding in the street... and the water connection had to be turned off for a short time while BGMU crews worked to replace the broken pipe. BGMU says this is a routine fix this time of year.
"It's nothing really out of the ordinary for this time of year....with the cold weather and changes in temperature, with the rain and stuff that we had. Sometimes the ground settles and it will cause problems like this right here," said BGMU Facilities Locator Steve Wood.
Wood says when the ground settles. It can cause the pipes to break.
BGMU says about ten homes in the neighborhood were without water for about two hours.
