While it was tricky travel on the roads Friday, those who chose to walk didn't fair much better.

Every surface in Downtown Bowling Green was covered with a thick layer of ice.

Outside the old Warren County Courthouse workers tried their best to salt and scrap away the build up.

Those who had errands downtown learned quickly that it wasn't very easy to get around.

"I was trying to keep her from falling. I mean she was having a hard time so I thought I would help her out a little bit there. I woke up and looked outside and I said, 'Man look at my car. It's all covered with ice.' I had to go out and put some de-icer on it," says Doug Nichols.

The Medical Center in Bowling Green reports that their emergency room took dozens of patients in for weather related falls.
