UPDATE: Plane Crash in Todd County

UPDATE, 10:23 CDT, 6/4/12
ELKTON, Ky. (WBKO) --- Kentucky State Police Post 2 say the crash happened in the area of 850 Davis Mill Road in Elkton.

The aircraft, a 1946 Stinson model 108, was piloted by Tyler Gill of Allensville.

Jerry Humble of Russellville was a passenger.

The aircraft took off from the Elkton Airport and crashed in a field.

Gill was transported to Gateway Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The Federal Aviation Administration will continue the investigation.


ELKTON, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky State Police say a small plane has crashed in Todd County in western Kentucky.

State police dispatcher Chris Rogers says the plane crashed into a field Tuesday afternoon.

Rogers says he doesn't know how many people were in the plane or the condition of those on board.

Authorities didn't immediately know what caused the crash.
