Bowling Green has experienced four murders, just since June 9 this year.

Police continue to work to find answers in the unsolved crimes.

For some it's a son.

"It's hard on all of us. It's just senseless. If we could get just a little closure as to what happened and I know somebody out there knows something," said Pearlie Jones, who's son was murdered in August.

For others it's affected their home life.

"I didn't feel too good. It's just a shame that it happened, and it's a shame that we don't know who done it, why they done it. Why did the car end up out here?", said Rhonda Harrod, a Greenwood Villa Apartments resident.

Bowling Green's first murder in 2012 was on June 9, when Tyreese Huffman, 21, was found stabbed to death on Stonehenge Ave.

This has been solved, and police have said they don't believe it was random act.

August 23,Terence Jones, 33, was shot in the Hands Club on Beech St..

Police say evidence is leading them to believe this also was not random.

October 11, police responded to another murder.

Demarcus Elliot, 34, was shot to death.

And, the body of Joey Smith, 31, was found in his own trunk last week.

"Our detectives are reviewing information from all of the recent homicides that we've had, and following up on every possible lead that we can. So right at this point, we're doing everything possible, that's within our power, to try and figure out who did these crimes," said BGPD Public Information Officer Ronnie Ward.

Police say Bowling Green averages three murders each year.

While this year is above the average, it's not the worst it's been.

In 2009, seven people were murdered.

Police are asking you to call Crime Stoppers at 781-CLUE, if you have information about any unsolved crime.
