BROOKSVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Investigators say it may be some time before the cause of a fire that killed five people and left one hospitalized is known.
Kentucky State Police Trooper David Jones says arson investigators sent multiple items out for analysis. Jones says the analysis could take time to process.
The fire on July 13 killed Rani Doss and children, Dylan Thomas Eldred, Michael Edward Doss, and twins Bradley Joseph Doss and Emily Ann Doss. Bracken County Coroner John Parker says Rani Doss apparently died from smoke inhalation during the fire.
Keith Doss remained hospitalized at the University of Cincinnati Hospital on Thursday.
Arrangements for memorial services have not been announced yet.
