Louisville Principal Fired for Profanity, Intimidation

A Louisville middle school principal has been fired for unprofessional conduct, making malicious comments about students and staff and failing to treat people with dignity and respect.

The Courier-Journal obtained documents through an open records request that showed Bill Anderson, the principal of Western Middle School in Jefferson County Public Schools, was terminated on Nov. 27.

An investigation into his behavior began in August after several staff and community members complained. JCPS Superintendent Donna Hargens wrote in his termination letter that he used profanity, made inappropriate comments and intimidated staff at the school.

Anderson did not return calls for comment from the newspaper, but his attorney said Anderson was not going to appeal the termination. He was hired in 2010.
