FRANKFORT, Ky. – Rep. Jim DeCesare, R-Bowling Green (21st District) has been named as a MVP by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce for the 2013 Session of the General Assembly.
Rep. DeCesare was among 12 legislators who were named Chamber MVP’s by the Kentucky Chamber this morning
“In order for Kentucky to compete and thrive with states like Tennessee and Indiana, we must do everything we can to support our business community,” said Rep. DeCesare. “It is essential that we in government do what we can to allow business to grow and develop, which in turn allows them to create jobs and grow our economy. I thank the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and its members for selecting me as a Chamber MVP for 2013.”
Rep. DeCesare was selected by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce as a MVP based on his work to support Kentucky’s business community during the 2013 Session.
In addition to tracking the progress of bills related to business in the Commonwealth and how members voted, the Chamber also based their criteria on how a member supported key issues considered by the Chamber and its members as critical to the growth of the state’s business climate.
Rep. DeCesare will receive a special Louisville Slugger bat award for being named Chamber MVP at a later date.
This is the second year the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has presented the Chamber MVP award to legislators considered to be pro-business.
