Bowling Green, Ky. -The Kentucky Department of Highways in Bowling Green hopes by this fall drivers at the intersection of Three Springs and Scottsville Roads will see less delays due to congested traffic.
Officials say with added turning lanes, more people will make it through each stoplight cycle.
"It's a three-tenth of a mile project. It starts just a little beyond the car dealership there, and in the end we will have two left turn lanes onto Scottsville Rd., one through lane that's a combination through and right turn lane, and an exclusive right turn lane onto Scottsville Road," said Kentucky Department of Highways' Tim Sharp.
Road construction begins this week. Sharp says the department hopes to have construction completed around October. The construction will leave the road with one lane at times, and sharp advises using caution.
