"It's still a state of shock to us. We don't really know what to think, where to go, what to choose, what path to even take. I mean it's something we are going to have to take one day at a time," says Arnold.

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) - Remnants from Wednesday nights armed robbery at a home in Greenwood Estates still remain. The family that lives inside was home at the time and says their 15 year old son prevented the incident from becoming much worse.

"My son is definitely a hero. I mean they were threatening to kill my wife and my son stood up and fought to his every breath," says Timothy Arnold.

Timothy Arnold II has more than 40 staples in his head. While trying to protect his mother, 3 suspects beat him with the butt of a long gun. Soon after the initial 911 call to report the robbery Damien Clark, Benjamin Keown and Tristan Neal were arrested and charged with 1st degree burglary, robbery and assault.

"We had someone who was close in the area and as he was entering the address there on Scottsville Road he observed a vehicle that the occupants were acting suspicious in," says Major Tommy Smith, Chief Deputy of Warren County Sheriff's Office.

The quick thinking officer initiated a traffic stop, apprehending the suspects. The Arnolds say they couldn't be more thankful.

"They got a job to do as well and I commend them for their hard work last night. I commend them for that," says Arnold.

But even with the suspects in custody, the shear fear of the incident has the family shaken.

"It's still a state of shock to us. We don't really know what to think, where to go, what to choose, what path to even take. I mean it's something we are going to have to take one day at a time," says Arnold.

The Arnolds say their neighborhood is typically quiet, but now they will think twice before answering the door.
