Singer Shot in Nashville Bar Brawl


Police say Mills and the owner of the Pit and Barrel bar, Chris Ferrell, got into an argument because Mills starting smoking in a non-smoking area after the bar had closed.

NASHVILLE, Tn. (WBKO) Police say Jerald Mills, known for being the frontman for the Wayne Mills Band, was shot in the head early Saturday morning. He died later that night.

Police say Mills and the owner of the Pit and Barrel bar, Chris Ferrell, got into an argument because Mills starting smoking in a non-smoking area after the bar had closed.

Ferrell told police he shot Mills in self-defense. Police are still investigating.
