LEBANON, Ky. (AP) -- A central Kentucky man has died after a shooting that Kentucky State Police say involved officers who responded to the man's house.

State police say two state troopers and a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officer went to the home in response to a suicide threat at about 9:30 a.m. EDT Friday. Police said shots were fired about six minutes later, and 38-year-old Joseph L. Livers III of Lebanon was wounded.

Livers was taken to Spring View Hospital and pronounced dead just before 10:30 a.m.

No officers were injured.
