A state legislator took time out of his busy schedule to interact with students from an elementary school on Wednesday.

State Representative Jim DeCesare skyped from his office at the Capitol with fourth and fifth graders from McNeill Elementary in Bowling Green.

The Republican talked about the three branches of government, as well as some bills that are currently being discussed in the legislative session.

The students were thrilled.

"I really liked it because I didn't really get the levels of government very much, I knew the branches, but I didn't really know the levels and he talked about that so I think that really helped me," says Neal Morsi, a fifth grader at McNeill Elementary.

"I guess we all felt really special because I guess not many kids will experience that," added Jessica Elson, Morsi's classmate.

DeCesare also reminded the students that he not only represents adults, but everyone, including children.
