The man who allegedly robbed the Nashville Rd. South Central Bank was arraigned in court this morning.

James Russell has been charged with robbery, possession of meth, and promoting contraband on an unrelated case.

A Warren District Court Judge set Russell's bond at $25,000 cash.

The purpose of today's arraignment was to set a date for a preliminary hearing.

It was two Crime Stopper's tips that led police to the alleged robber, but it was ultimately those much closer to Russell who helped get him arrested.

"Several family members watched the surveillance footage and positively identified James Russell as the suspect," said Judge John Brown in Warren District Court Friday morning.

"After the preliminary hearing we expect the cases to be bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury. At that point in time, we do expect the case to proceed to Warren Circuit Court. And then we'll see if a resolution will be made and if not at that point in time a trial date will be set sometime in the middle of next year," said Warren County Commonwealth Attorney, Chris Cohron.

Russell's preliminary hearing is set for December 27th.
