Target Working With Secret Service and Dept. of Justice to Investigate Hack


The company is now facing lawsuits, accusing it of failing to maintain reasonable security procedures and practices.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WBKO) -- Target officials say they are working with the Secret Service and the Department of Justice to investigate a major debit and credit card hack.

The retail giant released photos of its CEO and executive team meeting to discuss the security breach.

Hackers stole debit and credit card information from millions of Target shoppers, forcing them to change pin numbers or get new bank cards.

The company is now facing lawsuits, accusing it of failing to maintain reasonable security procedures and practices.

Target says it will offer affected customers free credit monitoring.
