BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- It was a sunny day today, but it's going to be a gloomy weekend.

Slick roads were a problem this past Wednesday and those conditions may return.

The Warren County Road Department spent the day servicing its plows, so they'll be ready for any potentially hazardous conditions.

"We're working our on chains that go on our tires, some of the snow plow blades are getting wore out. We had several chains break on our salt spreader boxes, we've got them repaired. We're just servicing all of our trucks, greasing them, getting them loaded, just getting them ready to go out tonight if we need too," said Jerry Young.

Young says they will be ready if ice makes things treacherous and all the crews are on call 24-7 to treat the roads as needed.
