BARREN COUNTY, Ky. -- A Glasgow man was arrested Tuesday night after running a stop sign on Dripping Springs Road.
The Barren County Sheriff's Office says deputies observed a 1999 White Ford passenger car run through the stop sign at the intersection of Park City Glasgow Road and Dripping Springs Road.
Deputies say they conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver.
The driver, Kelly Franklin, 42, of Glasgow, was arrested and charged with disregarding a stop sign; driving on a DUI suspended license; and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 2nd offense.
He was lodged in the Barren County Corrections Center.
