BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Students at Western Kentucky University had a unique shopping experience on Wednesday.

The Red Bus Project is a thrift store on wheels that makes stops at college campuses nationwide. It uses a double decker bus to sell clothes, shoes and more. All sales are donated to Show Hope, a non-profit that supports orphan care.

The organization says children becoming orphans continues to be a growing issue.

"Every 18 seconds another child becomes an orphan somewhere in the world. Now there are over 140 million orphans but college students can make a huge difference by speaking up for those kiddos that can't speak for themselves," says Chris Wheeler from Show Hope.
