Local businesses are doing their part to fight hunger.

The United Way's Feed the Need food drive is underway at places like BB&T bank.

Kellen Lacey says, the bank has participated in the food drive all four years.

"its going great we just started this week so we are getting the communication to all our employees and also the food boxes are here in the lobbies so our clients can check them out and donate food if they want to."

The food drives will last through March 16Th.

And on March 16Th and 17Th the United Way and hundreds of volunteers will gather at local grocery stores to take in donations from shoppers.
