Undergraduate students at the University of Louisville will see a 6% tuition increase beginning in the fall semester.
The university trustees voted yesterday to raise tuition to offset a more than nine million dollar decrease in state funding.
The Courier-Journal reports that the hike, combined with fee increases and the enrollment of 100 additional freshmen this fall, is expected to bring in more than 12 million dollars.
The increase will bring in-state undergraduate tuition to 4,733 per semester, or 9,466 per year.
