GLASGOW, Ky. (AP) - Louisville guard Kevin Ware has pleaded guilty to speeding charges and fined $268 by a Barren County District Court judge.
The Cardinals' junior, whose right leg injury sustained during the team's NCAA championship run last spring made him an inspirational figure, appeared in court on speeding and reckless driving charges. Ware's case was rescheduled after he missed last Monday's original date.
Kentucky State Police ticketed Ware on Oct. 26 for driving 95 mph in a construction zone on Interstate 65 while heading to Bowling Green in 2013 Dodge Challenger that Ware says he borrowed from another Louisville student.
The Barren County Court clerk told The Associated Press in an email the speeding charge was amended to 25 mph over the limit.
Ware must pay the fine before May 23.
