There's good news for area golfers who enjoy hitting the links at Bowling Green City courses.

Management says revenue is up while costs for maintaining each course are down.

Last year, there was talk about selling some city owned courses.

City leaders say a mild winter and renewed focus on advertising have brought in more golfers.

"The days of waiting for people to come play on your golf course is over. We are going to go out and try to compete for golfers," says Bowling Green City Manager Kevin DeFebbo.

DeFebbo says while the increased revenue is a good sign, the potential sale of any golf courses is still up to the city commission.
