BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- As school gets started in Bowling Green one big area is very short on workers.
Both the Warren County and Bowling green Independent school systems are in need of bus drivers.
The Warren County Schools Transportation Department said it could use anywhere from 15 to 20 drivers and monitors for the school year. The job centers around safety, but can become a whole lot more.
"Our drivers will sometimes transfer routes just to be with those kids from elementary, to middle school, and high. All that just to be with them," said Warren County Schools Transportation Director, John Odom.
Most drivers and monitors may not get full time hours but they do get full time benefits.
Those interested in applying at Bowling Green Independent Schools can find more info by clicking on the link below. From there you can click on EMPLOYMENT. You can also contact Joyce Cummings at (270) 746-2200.
Bus drivers must also submit a 5 year driving record with their application. You can get that at the Justice Center.
