"The perfect weather is 80 degrees to 100 degrees, which us what we've had the past few weeks." -Reed Gonzalez, Director of Operations Beech Bend Park
Rain rain go away, isn't something you'll be hearing many area businesses and services saying this summer in South Central Kentucky. The 2013 season has seen a healthy dose of precipitation which is good for some.
"Condition of the golf courses is the best its been in a number of years, so we're extremely proud of that. We know that the weather has allowed for us to keep our conditions in premium shape." commented Brent Belcher, Director of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation.
For others like Beech Bend it's sunshine that draws customers. The park said a soggy Fourth of July weekend was anything but good for business. Luckily, the past few weeks have seen plenty of heat, and that means plenty of people looking for a place to cool off.
"It rained this morning, it didn't look great, but now it's sunny outside. It's literally the perfect day. Some of the rainy days are the best days to come when the sun pops out. The weather is good for everyone. A water park, you go there when you're hot." exclaimed Director of Operations, Reed Gonzalez.
The scorching summer temperatures of 2012 have been exactly that: A thing of the past. Just because 2013 has been milder doesn't mean businesses aren't prepared for any type of weather.
"The perfect weather is 80 degrees to 100 degrees, which us what we've had the past few weeks." added Gonzalez.
"We're going to do the best we have. The weather is something merely have to deal with everyday to make sure our customers are pleased." said Belcher.
Rain or shine, area businesses say they'll always be ready to adapt for their customers.
