Weather Cancels Some Celebrations for the 4th

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Several professional fireworks shows in our area are being postponed due to the continuous rainfall.

According to the Campbellsville-Taylor County 4th of July committee, all 4th of July activities have been rescheduled. The fireworks have been rescheduled for Friday, July 12th and the parade is scheduled for Saturday, July 13th.

The Alvaton Church of Christ has rescheduled their fireworks and festivities for Saturday at 5 PM. The original date was Thursday. Organizers call it "the biggest show in the county."

Fireworks at the Catfish Festival in Morgantown have been postponed. They will now be Friday night, rain or shine.

The Fort Knox Celebrates Freedom event and fireworks show has been canceled. A scaled down celebration will now take place at the new Sadowski Center from 4 to 8 PM EDT.

Fort Campbell's 4th of July celebration has been moved to Friday at 9:00 PM.
