BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - A coach at Western Kentucky University is taking an extreme measure to make sure fans cheer for Lady Topper Softball.

Head Volleyball Coach Travis Hudson has agreed to pay for every ticket to Friday's game unit it is sold out. The Lady Toppers have a chance to take the Sun Belt Conference regular season title for the first time in program history.

While they have had a great season, Hudson says his idea is to support a great group of players.

"They are a terrific group of kids. They are a group of kids that I have gotten to know really well over the last couple years and with the year they have had I think they just deserve the opportunity to play in front of a nice crowd," says Hudson.

Coach Hudson also says he has never missed a home game. The turn around and success of the softball program reminds him of his first championship season with Lady Topper Volleyball.
