Much of the area is under a winter weather advisory tonight.

Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advise drivers to be careful on the roads, no matter how much snow actually accumulates on the ground.

"When its like this you really need to watch once the evening gets around the temperatures are gonna drop so you'll need to watch your bridges and overpasses,curves, places you know where maybe there is a little water on the side of the roads so you need to be aware and just reduce your speed," says Keirsten Jaggers with the Transportation Cabinet.

Those with the Transportation Cabinet say if the snow sticks around they'll be out tomorrow salting well-traveled roads.
