LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Police say a woman's body was found in western Louisville, and police are calling the death a homicide.
The body was found by sanitation workers in an alley early Saturday. Alicia Smiley, a spokeswoman for the Louisville Metro Police Department, says the woman appears to have died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Smiley said an autopsy will be conducted to determine an official cause of death. She said officers were canvassing the area looking for evidence and talking to neighbors.
Several neighbors said they didn't hear anything suspicious Friday night or early Saturday morning.
