Woman and Kids Die in Fire

BROOKSVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A Kentucky man remained in critical condition four days after being injured in a house fire that killed his wife and children and destroyed their home.

Kentucky State Police Trooper David Jones says that 45-year-old Keith Doss was still unconscious and under sedation in the University of Cincinnati Hospital on Wednesday.

Doss' wife, Rani Doss, and her four children were killed in the blaze. They were 16-year-old Dylan Thomas Eldred, 13-year-old Michael Edward Doss, 6-year-old Bradley Joseph Doss and 6-year-old Emily Ann Doss. Bradley and Emily are twins. All died from smoke inhalation sustained in the fire.

Rani's 29-year-old sister Sheila Werber and Sheila's 28-year-old husband Stephen Werber survived the fire without injuries.

The fire remains under investigation.
