The family of the boy wants to know why Comer was not arrested sooner. They believe the Kentucky State Police dropped the ball and that the entire incident could have been avoided if more had been done to investigate the alleged affair between her and the boy.

Updated: 9:09 AM A 26-year-old former teacher who left the area with a 14-year-old over the weekend is now in police custody. Mexican authorities arrested Angela Comer for custodial interference at a motel overnight. Comer was taken into custody with her own four-year-old son and her 14-year-old lover. All three were safe and taken to Laredo, Texas.
Updated: 7:22 PM WBKO has confirmed that there was a sexual relationship between the 14-year-old boy and his former teacher, Angela Comer. We will no longer release the name of the boy involved. If he was in a sexual relationship with Mrs. Comer, that makes him the victim of a sex crime. It is our policy not to identify child sex victims.
