Sandy Cannon's daughter, Specialist Heather Cannon Alvidres, returned home from one year of serving in Afghanistan Thursday night.
Heather and some 100 other soldiers touched down at Fort Campbell at 8:06 p.m. Thursday.
She was met by her mom, her dad, her brother, and her sister who drove down from Kenton County.
After seven days on the base, Heather, who's been in the army for two years, will get 30 days of leave before her next duty assignment.
