Drivers start your engines!
Seventeen area businesses competed in a corvette challenge today, well the 19th Annual Mini Corvette Challenge that is.
Spectators watched as drives hit the track and it wasn't your typical race track.
Some strategic driving was required as those racing had to weave through difficult right and left turns, on a track outlined with hay.
The event held at the National Corvette Museum is a friendly competition that aims to raise money for the Junior Achievement program.
"Junior Achievement works with the area schools taking business leaders into the schools to teach kids about business, finance, work force readiness skills. Everything they need to learn to be ready when they leave high school and enter college or into the work force," says Heather Rogers, with Junior Achievement.
Rogers says they hope to raise $25,000 from today's challenge to go towards funding the program.
