A Muhlenberg County mobile home quickly engulfed in flames early Thursday morning, taking the life of the man inside.

Family members say the homeowner, 48-year-old Ronnie Noffsinger, had recently moved back to Muhlenberg County.

The Bremen Volunteer Fire Department responded to 8602 Highway 70 around 4 this morning.

They say by the time they arrived, the home was fully involved.

While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, Noffsinger's niece, Sabrina Noffsinger told WBKO, he had been using his stove as a heating source, for several weeks.

Sabrina says her uncle was starting to turn his life around.

"He got saved here recently. Last time I seen him, it's been a while back, but I was sweeping the porch and he came walking up through here, and he had been to church, but that was actually the last time I seen Ronnie," Sabrina says.

She says that was a little over a month ago, but it wasn't unlike her uncle, to keep to himself and stay in his home.

Noffsinger's death is being investigated by the Muhlenberg County Coroner's Office.
