BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Technology continues to evolve and one local organization doesn't want to forget about those who can't afford computers or internet.
Community Action will now offer public access to computers and broadband internet throughout the Barren River area. The program kicked off Wednesday morning at the education and human services building in Bowling Green.
Many government programs are now moving to the internet, which is why Community Action is now offering the computers.
"We have seen the need for computers in the social security area as they move to a completely online access model which is difficult for seniors which is why I like to see these placed in senior centers quiet often," says Community Action Kentucky Executive Director, Rob Jones.
Community Action hopes to have more broadband computer locations in the future.
