FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Budget Director Mary Lassiter released figures Friday showing revenue last month at more than $800 million, some $60 million more than January 2011.

Road Fund revenue also edged upward by nearly $118 million in January, a 10 percent increase over January 2011.

Lassiter said sales tax receipts rose 6.7 percent, but were offset by a 6.5 percent decline in individual income tax receipts.

Property tax receipts surged by 86 percent in January. And coal severance tax revenue rose 27 percent.
