New Mural Painted By Kids At Local Elementary School

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - A new piece of art is now on display at Parket Bennett Curry Elementary School in Bowling Green.

Wednesday, kids painted a mural on the hallway walls with the help of teachers and representatives from SKyPAC. The design was created through the students own drawings.

It's one of many murals SKyPAC has worked on in local schools that shines a light on young artists creativity.

"When the kids come around the corner not only are they seeing their own drawings, but they are actually seeing other students working together on a big piece that they can all celebrate for years to come," says Education and Visual Arts Director for SKyPAC, Andee Rudloff.

The kids each had their own hand in painting the mural and chose from several different colors. The mural was made possible by a grant awarded to SKyPAC from Target.
