In the nation's capitol, Deputy Secretary of State, Randall Tobias, has resigned after admitting to being a customer of a Washington D.C. escort service.
Tobias is the Director of U.S. Foreign Assistance and administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development.
A press release announcing his resignation cited only "personal reasons".
Tobias admits he used the "Pamela Martin and Associates" escort service for massages only and not sex.
The madam of the service, Jeane Palfrey, has federal charges for allegedly running a prostitution operation.
She plans to call Tobias, along with a number of other prominent men from the nation's capitol, to testify in her case.
