Bowling Green Passes City Budget

Several items ratified during the first reading of the budget also stayed in place.

But travel budgets for the city commissioners and the mayor were cut to $2,000 for 12 years.

The city will no longer be a member city of the U. Conference of Mayors.

And the Downtown Redevelopment Authority and Capitol Arts Alliance were voted to be phased out in a two-year process.

The new budget starts July 1.
