One of Kentucky's senior congressmen says U.S. soldiers need to finish their work in Iraq.
Representative Hal Rogers is against bringing the troops home now.
Rogers said the troops are making progress and contrary to Democrats and some moderate Republicans, he said the surge is working.
"Those soldiers who have served there injured or even killed there--we owe them a successful conclusion to the work they have took part in," Rogers assured.
He added that the troops need to come home as soon as possible, but he says the Iraqi situation is critical in the war against terror.
