Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele is trying to save his job, but his biggest critics are members of his own party.
Steele is being criticized for various remarks that contradict the Republican party.
He was once quoted as saying abortion is a woman's individual choice, but the Republican party takes a pro-life position.
And at a Connecticut fundraiser Steele spoke against the Republican position on the war in Afghanistan.
"This was a war of Obama's choosing. This is not, this is not something the United States had actively prosecuted or wanted to engage," said Steele.
It's unlikely Steele will be voted out; the question now is whether he can withstand the calls for his resignation.
