U.S. Representative Ed Whitfield says the way to stimulate the economy is to spur job growth by eliminating government regulations that cause economic uncertainty.
He also told us why he thinks Texas Governor Rick Perry is the leading Republican candidate running for president.
Whitfield is chairman of a house energy subcommittee. So in an effort to help Republican House Speaker John Boehner cut $1.5 trillion from the federal budget, Whitfield suggests eliminating the Wind Power Program.
He says wind power is one of the most expensive ways to generate electricity, compared to coal or nuclear power.
Whitfield also says the Obama administration's health care program, over-regulation by the EPA, and stimulus package regulations are keeping the U.S. economy from recovering.
