BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Bowling Green City Commission candidates got together Tuesday evening at a forum put on by a city neighborhood organization.
Bowling Green Coalition of Active Neighborhoods also known as BGCAN let candidates talk for a few minutes about their campaign and answer a couple of questions.
Candidates Rick Williams, Sue Parrigin, Slim Nash, Don Langley and Mark Bradford all attended.
Organizers say this event is about those living in Bowling Green learning more about the candidates.
"We think it's important for people in the neighborhoods to know something about the candidates that are running. So, this is a good opportunity for them to come out and hear what they have to say," said BGCAN Vice-Chair Vivian Gentry.
Questions submitted centered around what to do for the older population and support level for the greenways project.
Four of the nine candidates were not there.
Mayor Bruce Wilkerson said Commissioner Melinda Hill was on official city business.
No official reason was given as to why Commissioner Joe Denning, Patrick Goble and Mike Clark were not there.
