Crime Stoppers: Thieves Hit Area Vending Machines

Updated: Wed 8:51 PM, Jan 18, 2012

During the past month, throughout five area counties Coca-Cola, RC, and Pepsi have suffered huge losses, in excess of $120,000.

Reports from Warren, Allen, and Barren County report a man in a dual pick-up truck driving up to the machines. Another man exits the passenger side, armed with a yellow-handled sledge hammer.

After busting the locks off the drink machines, the thieves make off with the money exchanger from each machine. The machines are destroyed in the process.

The truck is described as a 1999-2004 red Ford crew cab dually. The fender marker light is out on the passenger side, and the hubcap is missing from the right front wheel.

If you know who owns this truck or know who these men are, please call South Central Kentucky Crime Stoppers at 781-CLUE, toll free 866-842-CLUE, or click here to go to their website.

Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name. Their telephone lines are not recorded and they don't use caller ID or *69.
