FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- The complaint filed Tuesday, also says Farmer, who has headed the department since 2004, has used his state vehicle for personal use "for almost eight years" and did not report the mileage.
Agriculture Department spokesman Ted Sloan declined to comment on the complaint Tuesday.
Farmer spokesman Bill Clary told The Courier-Journal last month, two refrigerators were bought with a state credit card. Clary says Farmer used one when he worked from home, but it has been returned to the office. Clary said the other fridge had not been located.
