The U.S. Attorney's Office says 54-year-old Wilbur P. Graves of Tompkinsville is also ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.
Last March Graves was convicted in federal court of conspiring with others to buy votes during the November 2006 general election in order to re-elect himself.
Court documents say in October and November, 2006 Graves conspired with Wanda Moore, Ronald Muse, and Gary Bartley, all of Tompkinsville, to pay voters to cast walk-in absentee ballots.
Graves won the 2006 election for Monroe County Judge-Executive that had been tainted by the vote-buying scheme.
