FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- The Executive Branch Ethics Commission hasn't acknowledged whether it is looking into the alleged ethical lapses of former University of Kentucky basketball star Richie Farmer who spent the past eight years as the state agriculture commission.

The panel was meeting Monday in Frankfort, some two weeks after the release of a scathing audit report that accused him of using state employees on state time to take him hunting and shopping, build a basketball court in his backyard, mow his lawn, and even chauffeur his dog.

Executive Branch Ethics Commission Executive Director John Steffen said Monday he could neither confirm nor deny an investigation.

State Auditor Adam Edelen sent his findings to the ethics panel as well as the attorney general's office and other state and federal investigatory agencies.
