LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- P'Pool, the Hopkins County attorney, said Conway has been absent from the most historic legal fight of this era, by refusing to join in challenging the health care law.
P'Pool has said he would promptly enlist Kentucky in the legal challenge if he's elected.
Conway, a Democrat, said he chose not to use his office's resources to get involved in a court case that will get decided regardless whether Kentucky joins the fight.
The candidates met in an hour-long debate on Kentucky Educational Television in Lexington.
Conway is seeking a second term as Kentucky's chief law enforcement officer.
